Dave and Angel get Married!! Raleigh Wedding DJ Company

We had the privilege of providing the music and the party for Dave and Angel Brown’s wedding on September 28th at Cary’s beautiful Oaks at Salem! The weather was perfect and everything was like a story in a book!

The ceremony took place outside, across the pond under the magnificent oak tree. Once the ceremony was over the family and friends slowly made their way around the pond to the main tent and bar on the bottom level and the cocktail hour began. As the sun set the professionals at Peelman Productions lit up the tree across the pond for night time viewing. It was spectacular!

At the conclusion of the cocktail hour we invited everyone to find their seats under the main tent and within minutes the introductions began. We revved up the Chicago Bulls theme music and the wedding party was introduced to rousing applause! Once the best man and matron of honor were introduced the music faded and Europe’s “The Final Countdown” began. Once the music kicked in we aksed everyone to stand and proceed to introduce, for second time today as husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Dave and Angel Brown!! Everyone erupted in a huge round of applause, whistles and a few shouts!

Dave and Angel waved to the crowd and the music slowly faded into “Dancing Shoes” by Green River Ordinance, their first song as husband and wife. Angel's great uncle Sammy Keith was introduced and brought up to the middle of the dance floor for a brief welcome and the blessing before the meal.

The toasts came right after dinner and we enjoyed hearing from the maid of honor and the best man, Michelle Clark and Jordan Benham. Directly following the toast everyone was invited to join Dave and Angel inside the house for the cutting of the cake, and were given the tip to come back outside immediately following the cake cutting for a very special presentation.

While everyone was inside being a part of the cake cutting, we set up two microphones in the center of the dance floor. The cake cutting took about 8 minutes and everyone came right back outside under the tent. When all were back in place at their tables, we introduced Sean Bragg to the microphone. He introduced himself and then proceeded to play his guitar and sing “Wagon Wheel” live! Sean was fantastic! The dance floor was immediately packed and the first slow song of the evening was an instant hit! Sean wrapped up his song to a roaring crowd! Dave and Angel requested that Earth Wind and Fire’s “September” be played directly after Sean’s performance and it was a resounding HIT! The party had begun! Dancing and mayhem followed for about 2 hours. We paused briefly for the bouquet and the garter tosses, then shifted back into party mode for the rest of the evening.

The last song of the evening was “Angel” by Jack Johnson followed immediately by a long line of sparklers as Dave and Angel Brown exited their perfect wedding into the moonlight. What a spectacular wedding!!
