I’ve had the opportunity to work with the professional team at Highgrove on Laurel Lake. Located at 1613 South Main Street in Fuquay-Varina, I was extremely impressed with the staff, food, flow of the event and the high level of event coordination. All of that was capped off with a beautiful backdrop of nature including a ceremony on the water, plush gardens and landscaping!

The garden ballroom reception at Highgrove is anything but ordinary. You will feel like a star as you dine and celebrate in our 3000 square foot garden ballroom amid glowing chandeliers, palladium windows and a billowing fabric-draped ceiling.
The Highgrove Estate is an enchanting place to exchange your vows. Their pergola and lake make a stunning backdrop as you walk down the aisle amid our lush gardens. For a more intimate affair, consider a romantic fireside ceremony inside the ballroom.
You will love getting ready in our special bridal suite and private rooms on the second floor. Here you will relax with your family and friends in comfort while you put on your dress and all the finishing touches. They have thought of everything to ensure you are ready for your grand entrance.

Q: What is included in my Highgrove package?
A: We are a full-service facility that strives to provide complete services to our clients. Included in every Highgrove package for all of your guests are: white padded ceremony chairs, 66" guest reception tables, cocktail tables for cocktail hour, food tables, full-length linens and also linen napkins (choose from a variety of colors and textures- premium linens and napkins also available), walnut chivari chairs for the reception, glasses, silverware, china, stemware, cake table and linen, on-site parking, complimentary cake cutting, access to the house three hours prior to the ceremony for the bridal party and vendors, and Highgrove event director (see below for more details).
Q: Do you provide catering or do I need to bring in a caterer?
A: Highgrove will provide all your food, beverages, and staffing. At Highgrove, their foods are a delectable experience. Special attention is given to both preparation and presentation of our cuisine. Everything is freshly prepared on-site and is made to delight the senses. Their menus include savory meats, fresh seafood, imported cheeses, scratch-made soups and salads, seasonal vegetables, warm fragrant breads, and signature drinks. Whether you choose a plated reception or a lavish buffet, the food at Highgrove is something to experience.
Q: Do I have an opportunity to taste the food?
A: Highgrove has two seasonal food tasting galas each year for their brides, one in the winter and one in the fall.
Q: How many guests can fit in the reception ballroom?
A: They can seat up to 185 guests in the ballroom.
Q: How many chairs can you fit on the lawn for a ceremony?
A: They can fit 200 chairs.
Q: Is it necessary to have a microphone for the ceremony?
A: It is not necessary to have a microphone in order for guests to hear during the ceremony. The lawn area is intimate enough so that all of your guests should be able to hear. Many couples do choose to have a wireless microphone on the officiate in order to ensure that everything is heard loud enough, or if the ceremony is being videotaped. You or your DJ would be responsible for supplying and setting up a microphone.
Q: Do I need to hire a wedding coordinator or does Highgrove provide me with one?
A: Highgrove will provide you with a wedding coordinator who will help you in the following:
She will be available through email for questions and comments anytime you need, she will meet with you once about 3 months prior to your wedding to cover set-up of your wedding day, timeline of events for the ceremony and reception, ceremony wedding direction, and to answer all Highgrove-related questions. Your coordinator will be at and organize and direct your wedding rehearsal. She will also be at Highgrove for your entire wedding day; from the time you arrive throughout the day to oversee the set-up, answer vendor questions, and to implement your time line (keeping your wedding on schedule and following the order of events that you decided), making sure your day goes off the way you envisioned it.
