Megan and Doug Sparrow tied the knot at The Fearrington. The date was Saturday, September 2, 2017.
The ceremony started at 6:30pm at the Fearrington. The weather was perfect and the start of the day was beautiful. Megan and Doug were presented as husband and wife and the crowd was invited to circle around to the terrace for cocktails.
Megan and Dougs’ family and friends were invited into the main reception hall (the barn). Once everyone was inside the wedding party was introduced to the sounds of the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling”! Once the entire wedding party was introduced, in place and waiting for the couple’s introduction, the music changed to “Bailando” by Enrique Iglesias, Megan and Dougs’ introduction song.
Their first dance as husband and wife was Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” followed by Megan’s dance with her father. Megans’ father was introduced for a quick welcome and then dinner was served.
The toast, cake cutting and Dougs’ dance with his Mother all happened immediately after dinner and then the party began! The dance floor got an instant workout with busy feet! The bouquet and garter toss came a little later in the evening, followed by another dance set that went late into the evening! The last song of the evening was AC/DC’s “You Shook me All Night Long” and then the crowed was directed to head outside, grab sparklers and prepare for Megan and Doug’s departure.
