Sam and Laurel Get Married! Raleigh Wedding DJ

March 17, 2014

Our very first event at the lovely and historic Crenshaw Hall was on March 15th, 2014.  We were there to provide the music and party for Sam Woods and Laurel Piccots’ wedding ceremony and reception.

The weather was beautiful and the outside ceremony began right on schedule.

The seating music was classical and was a perfect blend with the gorgeous landscaping.  The Mothers and Grandmothers were seated to “Meditation from Tais” – J. Massenet.  Sam the officiant (Chris Copeland) and the bridal party walked out and assumed their positions to “Canon in D” by J. Pachelbel.  The Bridal Chorus (R. Wagner) chimed through the air and one very beautiful Laurel Piccot made her appearance and walked down the aisle towards Sam.  They were declared husband and wife within 20 minutes and everyone was invited to circle around the house for the outdoor cocktail hour.

The introductions begn, once everyone was under the main tent, and we introduced Mr. and Mrs Sam and Laurel Woods for the second time today. They immediately went into the dances with their parents as their first dance(s).  Laurel invited her father to the dance floor and Sam invited his mother and both pairs danced to “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel.  Once the dance was ended, both Sam and Laurel met in the middle of the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. They danced to “Here and Now” by Luther Vandross.

Sam’s father took the time to welcome everyone and then dinner was served.

The toasts followed dinner. Virginia Thompson, the maid of honor and Mike Thompson, the best man approached the microphone and made very touching toasts to the new bride and groom.

The toasts were followed by the cake cutting and within 7 minutes the party had begun!

Dancing, partying and general mayhem happened under the big tent. There were also games of corn hole being played in the yard.

The last song was “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey and then Sam and Laurel headed into the moonlight after a perfectly fun evening!
